A beautiful antique Victorian ring depicting a coiled snake with green Emerald eyes and crowned with a natural Opal on the head which is approx. 1.60ct and radiates a kaleidoscope of blues, pinks, greens and an inner orange.
Serpent jewellery became popular in the Victorian era and symbolized a wonderful combination of love, loyalty and friendship.
The piece is crafted in 18ct Yellow Gold and has developed a lovely smoothness with age. It looks wonderful wrapped around the finger and is fully hallmarked inside the shank dating the piece to 1872.
